Summer of Code Event Updates!

Over the summer we’ve been working hard to develop a lot of new features. During our Summer of Code event we showed you all that our upcoming updates have to offer for everyone!
In case you missed it, you can rewatch it here!

And as a quick recap of what these new features do, and how they’ll make your lives easier, we’ll go through them one by one.

New and improved rate setup

We’ve added more options to the way you can set up the rates for accommodations. Instead of having multiple rates for each accommodation, now you can set everything up you want with just 1 rate.

Computed rates

With computed rates it’ll be possible to add or subtract a certain % or fixed amount to a parent rate.
Change the price of the parent rate and the computed rates will automatically be changed as well!

You can find all the computed rates at the bottom of the parent rate in an easy overview.

Adding rates to accommodations

And to make things even easier, it’s now possible to add rates to accommodations from the rate overview. Simply click the symbol at the top and select your accommodations.

New period settings

Sometimes you want to include something for a weekend, or when specific dates are booked, every situation is different. You’ll now be able to select multiple options on how to apply the “period” condition.

Overlap - When the arrival and/or departure date falls within the reservation period.

Within - The period start and end date must be within (or exactly) the reservation period.

Exact - Arrival and departure must match with the start and end of the period.

Outside - The period falls outside the reservation period.

Overwrite rate price

We’ve also made creating prices for special weekends or events easier. Instead of having to set up a whole new rate, it’ll now be possible to set a product with a price and simply overwrite the default rate price.

Group Bookings

This long requested feature gives a lot more possibilities to process bookings and will be available to all premium users from next week!
It’ll now be possible to create groups simply by adding a new or existing booking to the current booking.

Once you’ve created a group, everything can be billed out through 1 invoice. And, unless the invoice has been finalised, you can always remove bookings from the group if guests change their minds.

Split Reservations

Perhaps a guest has relatives visiting the last few days and the numbers of guests will change? Split a reservation into 2 different ones and still only have 1 invoice.

Release period

Or maybe you have a long term guest who is going to be away for a while? Build in a release period and free up the place for another booking.

Add days

Sometimes you want to add days to the booking, but use a different price than the original booking. Simply add days and you’ll be able to add a separate reservation with the current rate to the same invoice.

Guest page update

We’ll be launching an entirely new version of the guestpage, with the same great design you’re used to from the V2.

The new guest page will:

Have one page with all the guest reservations
Be better optimised for mobile
Improved payment provider integration
Online check-in with flexible forms and custom fields
Developers can add their own widgets

Booking Engine Updates

Our online booking engine will also receive a number of updates this autumn!

Compared to the previous design you’ll notice the following changes:

Advanced filter page
Create your own filters
Only show available accommodations
Fast price calculations
Filter multiple parks at once
23% better mobileconversion than the V1 booking Engine

We’ve also created the option to add labels and ratings to accommodations.

And it’ll now be possible to add a description and pictures to products!

Point Of Sale (POS)

Our POS page received a nice overhaul, with a whole new layout!

It’s now possible to add multiple categories, create favourite product lists and add images for products.

And in the cash desk there are multiple currencies available and the option to close balances.

We’re integrating more and more payment providers to allow you to choose whatever provider suits your needs.
In order to serve your payment needs best, we decided it is time for our own Camping.care Payment system!

Want to have a quick and easy overview of which accommodations still need to be cleaned? This autumn it’ll be possible to see the cleaning status in the schedule board. And we’ll even provide an app, so you can update the cleaning status as you go.

Camping.care Academy

To help you use Camping.care to its fullest, we’re starting the Camping.care Academy!

We’ll be providing training courses for everything you need. Starting with a few courses and we’ll continuously keep adding more!
